Winners and some random babbling

I've got some more giveaways coming up for you guys soon, but won't have quite as many between now and the new year. During this time I will be finishing up my reviews for 2010 and making some changes to my blog. I need to update my winners page, and will likely switch the blog over to Wordpress once I have time. The URL will stay the same and you won't need to resubscribe or anything, but the blog might revert to blogspot.com or look different for a short time if you happen to come by while I am making the changes.

I know how to set my blog to redirect to the main page of my new Wordpress blog, but if anyone knows how to set it so that it will redirect to the specific post or page someone was reading I would love that information! The nice thing about staying with Blogger is that it automatically takes care of the redirecting for you, but now that I have been using Wordpress for my other blog there are certain features I wish I could have here too. I tried following a tutorial on my other blog, but was confused and left it at redirecting to the home page but I'm sure this is annoying for people who are trying to read something.

I really need to work on getting myself much more organized in the new year, many days I end up spending a lot of time staring at my screen lost in my list of things that need to be done... and then nothing gets done at all. I'm hoping to set a more specific schedule as far as when certain things are done and have started using Google Calendar to help me with it! I don't have my own computer right now, so that is limiting my time as well since my daily usage isn't guaranteed. Hoping to be able to get one in Jan or Feb.

I am also looking for Guest Posts to be added to my blog for the days where I am not able to write any of my own posts. If you would like to submit a post or topic to be considered, please email me: misfitmomma at gmail.com

Secretariat Winners for October 6th

I just drew the second set of winners for my Secretariat advance screening giveaway and once again there were two winners as they each only asked for two tickets. Both winners have been emailed and now have 24 hours to claim their prize.

Both winners were anonymous entries via email, in case anyone is wondering the majority of these entries came from an ad I posted on local forums and kijiji. I do not normally accept this form of entry, but since this giveaway was originally limited to local entrants I made the exception.

I will be offering more movie passes in the future, so everyone can look forward to that!

Secretariat will be in theaters on October 8th and is a must see for anyone who wants to relive the true story of the racing horse who set and holds the records in both the Kentucky Derby and the Belmont Stakes.

Winners and other misc.

I hope everyone had a great Fathers Day! We ended up going out to my moms for a BBQ and stayed there all evening. Unplanned but we had a good time! My mom bought some gigantic marshmellows. It seemed like a great idea for toasting marshmellows, but ended up in a huge mess! They falling off the sticks, and the kids hands were COVERED in marshmellow after attempting to eat one. They still enjoyed them, but I think we will stick to the regular sized marshmellows from now on.

I had 4 giveaways that ended yesterday. My book giveaways seem to be getting very few entries. Do my followers not like books? I would love to keep hosting book giveaways but I need to have more interest! No one has entered my Shushybye giveaway yet, I added extra entries for entering my other giveaways. There are also some hidden entries in a few non-giveaway posts. I have a few more book reviews and giveaways coming up so I hope more people will start entering them!

If you don't like books, what do you like? What would you like to see me post about?

Here are this weeks winners:

Winner of the Bad Idea T-Shirt is Louis with entry #122

The Two Winners of The Knight Life book are Cheryl B. With entry #3 and renee with the very last entry, #31
