Holiday Gift Guide - Fantasy Jewelry Box Review

Are you looking for the perfect jewelry to go with your outfit for a Holiday dinner, or maybe even for New Years? I was, but now that I was sent the Karolanna's Butterfly Applique Black Fabric Necklace & Earrings Set to review I have one less accessory to worry about! This necklace goes along perfectly with low collared tops or dresses, and is gorgeous enough for the fanciest of dinners.

The choker style necklace does have a ring which is meant to be used as the clasp, but there is a bit of chain that fastens the ring to the fabric piece and I found I could wear the necklace closer to my neck by fastening it further down the chain.

The matching earrings are just as lovely, although one of mine was reversed and I had to fix it with a pair of pliers. If I had worn it as it came, the gem would have only been visible from the back of my head. The fabric on both the necklace & earrings is fairly delicate, so I didn't give it the toddler test by letting my daughter pull on it. I think the set should last for a long time as long as I can keep her away from it!

I also wanted to show off the Aralynn's Dainty Opal Sterling Silver Ring that I got myself for my birthday which was back in October. I had my eye on this ring ever since my first time looking around Fantasy Jewelry Box so my Birthday was the perfect time since Opal is Octobers Birthstone. I measured my finger using both a plastic ring sizer and the measurements provided on their site and found out that I would need a size 8.5. Since they do not offer half sizes, I ordered a size up and it turned out that size 9 was too big so be careful in choosing your size if your measurements are in between.

It sits silently on my wrist whenever I wear it yet is gorgeous and demands attention. When I ordered it I was hoping to wear it higher on my arm, like an arm band but it is not big enough for that. It is not a one piece bangle like I was expecting - it is in four pieces and is strung with a strong elastic that hold them together. It is a little fancier than my necklace, but that doesn't stop me from wearing it whenever I want!

Fantasy Jewelry Box ~ Review and Giveaway!

I love getting and showing off new jewelry, what girl doesn't? One little problem, I rarely get new pieces. Partly because I can't afford them, and partly because my husband refuses to buy any for me. If I want something new, I have to buy it on my own. At this point you are probably thinking he is being stingy and ungenerous, but let me explain why he no longer buys me jewelry.

When we were dating, he bought me a cute gold necklace with a heart pendant. It was my absolute favorite, and one day I came home to find it missing from my neck. The chain must have broke without my noticing. He later bought me another gold necklace after we had our first baby. The pendant spelled out "Mom" in diamonds and, guess what, it got broken. Even my wedding ring, even though it wasn't a fancy expensive ring, was still special with a lot of meaning to it - the gem fell out and it was going to cost me more to replace the gem than it would to just buy a new ring.

He is convinced that I have bad luck with jewelry, and his reasoning for not buying me any? Is that he doesn't want to see me devastated every time something got broken or lost. Sweet, in his own twisted way I suppose. If I was to ask for money to buy something, he would give it to me, I think it is just his way to avoid doing the actual shopping! For the record I haven't lost any jewelry recently, my misfortune seems to have moved on to other items - like the third handset to my cordless phone set and my sunglasses!

I received this gorgeous Horn Shaped Smokey Black Cat Eye Necklace for review from Fantasy Jewelry Box a couple of weeks ago and haven't taken it off since it arrived! I even wore it in the shower and swimming at the beach and haven't had any problems with it. It hangs close to my neck and looks nice with pretty much anything I choose to wear and I really love it. It is more like a silvery gray rather than black and almost gives a luminescent effect. It came in a cute little pink box with a silver cord tied in a bow and would be perfect for gift giving or just for storing.

I have gotten a few compliments on it wearing it around, my baby hasn't been able to break it by pulling on it which she does quite often so the quality for less than $45 leaves me really impressed. A few years ago my husband bought me a gold necklace for around $200 and my baby pulled on it and the chain snapped less than a week after owning it! Remember the Mom necklace I mentioned above? Yup, that was it. So far the silver chain on my necklace has held up to everything my baby and I have put it through.

If I wanted to replace my broken wedding ring they even have a substantial selection of Imitation Diamond Wedding Ring Sets. I almost chose a lovely heart shaped set for this review, but decided to hold off, maybe for our next anniversary?
