I'm not a big seafood lover, but there are a few things that I like to treat myself to once in a while. My kids on the other hand, love fish sticks so they were happy when I told them we were going to get the chance to try out some new ones from Bluewater Seafood.

Bluewater Seafood is a Canadian company located in Quebec and use only the finest ingredients in the preparation of their large selection of great tasting seafood. You can find their full list of products, as well as recipes and coupons on their website! They are also running a promotion for a free collapsible bag with the purchase of any 3 BlueWater products. I received one of these bags, and I will admit I can't figure out how to fold it nice and small like how it came but it is still an excellent bag that holds quite a bit of weight.

I was sent coupons for two free products aswell so I chose the Fish Fries for the kids, and the Beer Batter Fillets for myself. The kids loved the Fish Fries. The batter had just the right amount of crunch for them and they gobbled them up! The package of 24 fries seems to be just right for what my kids will eat in a meal, I cooked nearly the whole bag and they asked for more. Now I know to cook the entire package next time, and they are already asking when I will buy it again! I tried a couple, but to be honest fish sticks just aren't my thing. They cooked up nice, but I wasn't expecting to like them - and I didn't. There was nothing bad about them, it is just my own tastes playing against me.

I was in for a pleasant surprise with the Beer Batter Fillets. They pretty much look like bigger fish sticks, but the "Pub Style" logo on the package tempted me and I'm glad it did! All of the alcohol is eliminated during the production and cooking process and these were very good, a little crispy on the outside but nice and soft inside and simply delicious. They were especially good with some fresh lemon squeezed onto them! It's nice to know that there is something I can make along with fish sticks for myself when I make them for the kids, instead of waiting to eat after they have gone to bed. The box comes with xxx and since my kids were the opposite of me on this one (They didn't like it) it should be good for 2-3 meals with just me eating them.
