{Halloween Birthday Bash} Squinkies Review

I received a bubble pack of Squinkies as well as a Birthday Surprize Bracelet for review and didn't stand a chance in keeping these away from my daughter when she spotted them! She loved them right off the bat and started carrying them around with her "Pets" (which is what she calls her collection of favorite toys, mostly Littlest Pet Shop).

If you are familiar with the Teeniest Tiniest Littlest Pet Shop toys which are available, these are similar in size but instead of being made out of hard plastic they are soft and squishy. Each one comes with it's own ball just like the toys that come in the coin operated machines you see in stores. The bubble pack comes with 16 Squinkies, 4 of which come in a colored ball so that they remain a surprise .

The only downside that I have found with Squinkies is that they are slightly tacky on the surface and if you have a lot of pet hair in your house it will stick to the toys and make them look like miniature balding cats. It does rinse off easily, and would probably be less of a problem if I had a vacuum! She has also lost a few since they are so small but with a tiny toy like this that is to be expected.

Squishy, squooshy, squashy and totally adorable, Squinkies is the eagerly awaited new mini doll and pet, accessory and playset line destined to be the hottest new must-have kids’ collectible toy sensation. Squinkies friend and pet dolls come encased in unique toy plastic bubbles. Pop open the bubble and you’ll find a Squinkies surprise inside!

Launched in July 2010 by Blip Toys, the initial release includes a collection of 96 micro dolls (series 1 – 6) packaged sixteen each in a selection of popularly themed blister card Squinkies Suprize Inside Bubble Packs. The collection’s initial three fun themes are Fantasy, Princess, and Birthday with many other additional themes and dolls to come!

With new collectible Squinkies dolls to be released on a regular basis, the line will feature hundreds of figures to collect, trade and share. As a resukt kids will enjoy the ability to enjoy endless hours of imaginative game play as they create their very own special Squinkies world.

In addition to the Suprize Inside Bubble Packs, the Squinkies line includes a variety of fun accessories and play coin dispenser playsets at a variety of price points that will accommodate any budget. There’s always a surprise with Squinkies dispenser playsets as each playset is creatively themed with meticulous detail and come with plastic toy bubbles with Squinkies inside plus accessories to round out play!

As part of the dispenser play, toy coins are inserted into the playset slot allowing kids to twist the dial and dispense a Squinkie surprise! Each playset dispenser is large enough to hold several Squinkies inside their plastic toy bubbles. Squinkies figures, playsets and accessories are each sold separately.

Yesterday was my Daughters Birthday, and she was very happy with her gift - more Squinkies! I got lucky and won some more in a giveaway from another blog and knew they would be exactly what she wanted! I even put some aside to save for the Holidays. My Daughter loves her Squinkies and I love that they truly are priced to be affordable starting at only $9.99 for the Bubble Pack.

I think these would also be great for dividing into goodie bags at Birthday Parties or for giving to children on Halloween! If you have an award system at home where the kids get a prize for good behavior, these could be great for that too. You can purchase Squinkies from Target, Walmart, Toys R Us, Shopko, Meijer, and Amazon

Learn more about Squinkies by checking out their blog, follow them on Twitter, or like them on Facebook. Hint: Be sure to check out their blog for a special Halloween Giveaway coming up!

These are so cute, what age are they recommended for?
Happy birthday to your daughter!

They are for age 4+ because they are so tiny. My 2 year old has been playing with them too, but I have caught her with them in her mouth a few times so not the best for a 2 year old.

Thank you! I thought they looked small enough that they'd be too small for my 2 year old, I still catch her putting things in her mouth that she shouldn't!
They are super cute though!

These are so cute! My daughter occasionally requests them, but since she's got no personal responsibility when it comes to keeping her toys away from the baby, I've resisted. Perhaps for Christmas though!
