My daughter loved Word Girl, and I loved she was learning while she was watching it! There are eight episodes, each with two new words introduced and defined in a fun way so that the kids will understand. This DVD just came out on August 24th and would make a cute, educational gift for Halloween or a Birthday! Some of the words are too big for my 5 year old daughter, but I have noticed that my boys have picked a few up even though they pretend not to be watching while the show is on. (I even caught them looking at the tv a few times, but they insist it is a "girls show")

The episodes include:
Toby's Tricks and Treats (Introducing words Eerie and Supernatural)
Becky and the Bard (Introducing words Shimmer and Memorize)
Lunch Lady Chuck (Introducing words Disorderly and Famished)
A Vote For Becky (Introducing words Elect and Candidate)
Class Act (Introducing words Ramble and Articulate)
Villain School (Introducing words Novice and Legendary)
Toby's Masterpiece (Introducing words Masterpiece and Gasp)
Who Wants Candy? (Introducing words Mastermind and Awestruck)

How did I not know about this? My kids are grown to past age 10 but I have a grand daughter who is 5 and grand son 3, and i have never heard of this! I would MUCH rather give this to them , than "regular" treats. Thanks for the info!
