Warm Buddy ~ Review and giveaway!

Have you ever wished there was an easy way to relax your muscles after a long day? How about a way to warm up after coming in from the rain, or even a way to cool off on a summer day - without hopping into the shower?

The Body Wrap from Warm Buddy contains natural grains and lavender flowers, can retain heat for an hour or more and is a wonderful alternative to a hot water bottle! You can also place it in the freezer for a few hours if you prefer to use it to cool off instead! Each Body Wrap comes with a washable cover -much like a pillow case- and comes in 5 different colors. The pouch that fits inside is sewn with 3 seams so that the insides are always evenly distributed and you never have to worry about it all filling one end of the wrap.

I had something similar to this years ago, and managed to get it wet when we were staying at my Dad's cabin. Needless to say, it grew sprouts and was no longer usable so I was happy to have found a high quality replacement, it seems I have really been missing out! With kids, we all have days that end with pounding headaches. After heating up my new Body Wrap for just 2-3 minutes, I was able to lay down with it on my head to soothe the pain. Since I prefer not to take medications for simple things such as headaches this was a big relief to me!

I co-sleep with my youngest and after waking in the morning, my back and shoulders are often sore from staying the same position all night. The body wrap came to my rescue again draped around the back of my neck, relaxing the stiff muscles and easing the pain. It is a little big for this purpose - but it did work (It is 10" x 20"). I also used the wrap when I started feeling chilled from having the AC on for too long, and tossed it into the freezer (inside of a plastic bag) while I went on a cleaning binge around the house. Rushing around trying to get as much cleaned as I can never fails to overheat me - especially in the summer and the wrap was very effective at helping me cool off. I have used ice packs for this in the past, and while they do work, they are often too cold to use straight out of the freezer and they warm up quickly. The wrap stayed cool well after I was finished using it to cool off - almost an hour!

Now, if we are as easily affected by temperature our children must be too! Do you think your child would enjoy using the body wrap? No? Mine wouldn't either. Luckily, Warm Buddy manufactures the original warm-up plush animals too! I received the baby Wooly sheep along with my Body Wrap and let me tell you - this sheep is adorable! When I opened the package I immediately decided that I wanted to keep it for myself. On my bed! Ok, it was an idea that didn't last for long! My original plan was to give it to my 5 year old, in hopes of helping her sleep. Instead, when my baby woke up (Remember- in my bed) the first thing she saw was the Wooly sheep and she grabbed hold and claimed it! My 5 year old still wants her own, but I may get her one of the larger sizes.

Baby Wooly has a much smaller heating pack which is placed inside the sheeps tummy, you can open the sheep with velcro at the back. This smaller pack only needs 30 seconds of heating, and once inside the sheep the warmth can be felt and snuggled by your little ones. The eyes and facial features are stitched on and Wooly is the perfect size for my babies little hands.

Don't like the sheep? Choose from a bear, a dog, a leopard, and even a moose! Still unsure? What about mittens, slippers, blankets or a spud! These and many other Heat Therapy products are proudly made in Canada and available to purchase from Warm Buddy as well as in leading spas and gift stores across Canada and the US!
